SCENE – 16

Gomati River

Sita, Ram and Lakshman made a journey to Aranyavasa (Forest). They crossed the Rivers Gomati, Syandhika. The boat rider ‘Guha’ extends service and gives support to Ram- Sringeripuram – Guha’s services – Sita, Ram and Lakshman sleeps that night below a tree.

After crossing the “Tamasa River”, Sita, Ram and Lakshman proceeded towards “Gomati River”, and “Syandhika River”. At that place, Ram had enjoyed a pleasant environment of greenery and cultivable lands, and good village atmosphere and felt happy. The people and villagers have cursed King Dasarath and Kaikeyi. People felt badly also wept about the poor situation confronted by Sita, Ram and Lakshman. Ram, could heard all the villagers agony and sentiments on this issue, and Ram just moved forward without feeling anything.

Sita, Ram and Lakshman have crossed a river called “Vedhasruthi” and proceeded towards Agastyamahamuni Ashram side.

Here, they reached “Syandhika River”

The next day Sita, Ram and Lakshman, moved forward towards “Ganga River” (Tripadha).

Sita, Ram and Lakshman enjoyed the entire River flows and that pleasantness. At this place one person called “Guha” who was the local area head and also a close associate and friend too to Ram.

‘Guha’ has very close association with King Dasarath and other Rajapramukha.

‘Guha’ had full confidence level on Ram.

“Guha’ had heard about Ram, Sita and Lakshman were passing through his village area to enable cross the ‘Ganga River’.

‘Guha’ felt happy for Ram, Sita and Lakshman’s coming.

‘Guha’ made all arrangements on food, providing of Garments made out of fine Jute materials to Ram, Sita and Lakshman. Also arrangement and kept ready eatable things to Ram’s horses (Chariot Horses) etc.

‘Guha’ was having his own staunch followers.

‘Guha’ met Ram.

Ram hugged ‘Guha’

Spoke in a pleasant way.

‘Guha’ praised Ram because of Ram’s respect towards King Dasarath.

The man i.e., Ram who upholds the Righteousness, on whom Guha praised a lot.

After completion of good, Ram slept for a while.

After that time, Guha has looked on Ram’s safety.

Guha and Sumanth (Minister in King Dasarath’s Kingdom) also provided security to Ram and Sita.

Guha had wept for some time due to his sentiment.

Guha had a heavy breath, because of Ram’s hardship.

Guha had banged King Dasarath and Kaikeyi.

Guhaprayed all the Gods and Devatha’s that Ram, Sita and Lakshman are showered with happiness.

Also Guha prayed for their safety while travelling in the forest areas.

Next day morning Sita, Ram and Lakshman planned to cross the ‘Ganga River’

After know this, Guha had arranged a good Boat to Ram to cross the ‘Ganga River’

Sumanth (Minister in King Dasarath’s Kingdom) was asked to go back to Alyodhyanagar. Sita, Ram and Lakshman were about to board the boat along with Guha, to cross the Ganga River.

Sumanthawas told by Ram that Bharath’s be crowned as Kin of Ayodhya in the presence of all in the Ayodhyanagar.

Sumantha was advised to take care of King Dasarath, Kousalya, and Sumitra.

Sumanth had left for Ayodhyanagar, after taking leave from Sita, Ram and Lakshman.

Sumantha had no option except to leave for Ayodhya.

In ‘Guha’s’ boat, Sita, Ram and Lakshman crossed the ‘Ganga River’.

Sita, Ram and Lakshman reached near to the “Prayag” after passing through various places in Vatsa Kingdom.

Sita, Ram and Lakshman had fruits and took rest that night.

Before sleeping in a secured place, Ram told Lakshman to go back to Ayodhyanagar and take care of King Dasarath and others.

Ram told Lakshman that Dasarath can’t bear the troubles of Kaika.

If Lakshman stays near to Dasarath, Dasarath will have some courage, Ram said.

Lakshman said that dear Ram, I am prepared to be with you always while you and Sita were in Vanavasa time.

I don’t have any work in Ayodhya, Lakshman said.

I’m not interested to go back to Ayodhya.

Even if I die also no matter, I’ll be with you Ram, said Lakshman.

Please forgive me, Lakshman said.

I can’t go to Ayodhya.

Ram finally agreed Lakshman to go along with Ram in the Aranyavasa (forest stay).

Sita, Ram and Lakshman travelled to cross the Ganga River in Guha’sspecially made Boat.
