In fact, I too have a lot to gain. But so far in life I have experienced a very wonderful thing. In such a big world, there are innumerable types of creatures including human beings. There are innumerable lifestyles and myriad meanings. But apart from human beings, I have never seen any other creature desperate or unhappy for no reason. While the human has a greater power than the entire creation of the mind, then should it be said that the mind is the cause of undue suffering?

Yes, because even God is not deprived of the feeling of happiness and sorrow. So what will we insignificant creatures be left with, but any emotion that dominates us without any reason is due to this most powerful organ of the mind.

The interesting thing is that God had given unimaginable power in the mind to man because man, by subduing that power, made himself void of sin, virtue, happiness, sorrow, life, death, fame, and failure. In this situation, meet God. But when man himself fell under the control of this mind, got entangled in sin, virtue, happiness, sorrow, life, death, etc. or he himself did not know. Sin, Virtue, Good, Bad, What Really Happens? Or it is all about the mind or say that it is a state of mind.

Happiness!! What is a simple alternative to happiness?
Happiness!! What is a simple alternative to happiness?

I am able to say this because when I think patiently, I find that what is right for one thing is wrong for another. There is no such thing to be found in which the whole world will be happy at once. There is no such misery in which the whole world becomes unhappy at once. So what do I mean by this? That if we change the direction of thinking, then we can convert sorrow into happiness. This is a matter of deep contemplation, I believe that if this subject is elaborated, then the calmness and radiance of the face of the sage Muni can be understood.

However, to understand the wisdom and contemplation of the sage Muni, and to be beyond pleasure and pain, will be the test of the final stage of understanding. At the moment, in search of this void situation, it is to be known that in the complex situation in which the person is today, the difficult situation that mankind is going through, the most important task is to keep oneself calm and to be balanced. And there is a very simple solution for that. With the practice of which a person can remain calm in the most difficult situation without distracting himself. And that solution is to practice making yourself excited and satisfied.

My own experience tells us that an enthusiastic person can find a way out in any situation. Forgetting all the pain, we can move on. For example, the greed of some favorite thing to a small child can make the most difficult task. Because while working, the child is more excited to get that thing than the difficulty of that task. And while he laughs, he also does the hard work. Understand from this that if a small child can easily pull out a difficult situation in enthusiasm, then why can’t we grow up? Surely enthusiasm gives new life to man. It shows new paths by balancing it beyond suffering.

The same other option is contentment, just as the excess of everything is destructive, in the same way too much enthusiasm also overwhelms a person. To stop the over-enthusiasm, a person needs a break of satisfaction. A very excited person can never guess the limit. Because everything except the universe has a limit, so how can enthusiasm remain limitless?

A very excited person finds misery beyond a limit. Santosh gives him the knowledge of that limit. So I would say that if a person learns to be excited and to be content, and after getting very excited, and after getting satisfaction, he practices himself again with enthusiasm in a new positive direction, then he will never be unhappy without any reason.

Thank you.

Yes; indeed happiness is a state of mind hence mind should be made a servant not a master.

  5. This is beautiful, there are two very well said statements that caught my attention.
First – what is considered happiness by one might not be the reason for happiness of another. It’s seriously amazing how these subjective terms (happiness and sadness) very from person to person.
Second – a kid is focused on the happiness will get after he aquires whatever he wants without realising that he is working hard for it. In the end the laughter and happiness matters.
This is very well put. Ms Akanksha

This article/blog regarding simple alternatives to happiness written by Akanksha Shrivastava shows a balanced approach towards enjoying happiness within. Enthusiasm and excitement make you always go ahead. At the same time, contentment must be enjoyed at every step of struggle and success. Contentment must not make you lazy or crazy. Courage lies in a balanced approach in all situations good or bad, best or worst. Never allow your ears to hear negative words. Never allow your mind to think negative thoughts. Quit bad company. Better alone than in a bad company.
