SCENE – 13

Ram, Sita and Lakshman have met King Dasarath.

People o Ayodhya wept inconsolably.

Many Rajdarbar and Rajmandir staff felt very bad on King Dasarath, because of two commitments given to Kaikeyi, the one being that Ram to go to Forest and do vana vasa for 14 years and that Bharath be crowned as King of Ayodhya.

After donating all the gold, diamond jewelry and silver ornaments to all people including to Brahmin Purohits and Pundits, needy and poor people, Ram, Sita and Lakshman had made a move to meet King Dasarath in his Rajmandir.

On the way to Rajmandir, many people of Ayodhyanagar wished and waved hands and blessed Ram, Sita and Lakshman while their sentiments were hurt.

People of Ayodhya wept inconsolably and even few people cursed King Dasarath.

People of Ayodhya cursed and banged King Dasarath and Kaiakeyi for their bad deeds and for unwanted commitments.

People of Ayodhya shouted during Ram, Sita and Lakshman’s Journey on the streets ofAyodhya that Ram should never go to forest and to be crowned as King ofAyodhya. Bharat should not become King. People expressed deep sentiments and urged Ram to be crowned as King of Ayodhya.

Without Ram there is no Ayodhya – said people.

People of Ayodhya also shouted that King Dasarath is a fool and that Kaikeyi is a foolish and selfish woman.

All people said in one voice that “we will also move to forest along with Ram”

All the people again said that wherever Ram stays that is only Ayodhya Kingdom.

We all go to forest with Ram.

We all don’t like Bharat to be as King.

We don’t like crowning ceremony to Bharat.

We all are happy wherever Ram is there.

Ram saw Sumanth (minister to King Dasarath) and told him to inform Dasarath that we had come to meet King Dasarath.

This message was informed to King Dasarath.

King Dasarath told to Sumanth as follows:

“Please ask all the people in the Rajmandir to come here. Whoever wants to see Ram, they all can come here”

With the Sumanth’s call, Kousalya, Sumitra and Kaiakeyi came to Dasarath’s Rajmandir.

All other officials, purohits and pundits also came to Dasarath’s place.

While Dasarath coming from his Simhasan Chair, Dasarath fainted and fallen on the ground.

At that time Ram and Lakshman put water on the face of Dasarath. After some time Dasarath has come to normal state.

Ram told to Dasarath:

Ram
Ram

Father, I am making a move to forest.

Please bless me.

After completing 14 years in the forest then we will come back to Ayodhyanagar.

Dasarath wept inconsolably.

Ram

All the people present at that place have wept except Kaikeyi.
