Part 24 Sri Ramayana (Ayodhya Kaanda)
(Ayodhya Kaanda)
SCENE 8
Lakshman speaks and uses angry words on Ram. Ram was very much confident enough in his decision to leave for forest for 14 years stay, as per the word given to his father King Dasarath.
Lakshman says – when the God’s intent is not good, you always tell “it’s God’s wish and intent”, “God will look-after” etc. What is this Ram?
Kaikeyi and Dasarath are deceiving you Ram, as I am thinking like that.
Lakshman said more like this – There will be no Righteousness in this Kingdom. When un-Righteousness rules the Kingdom, where will Righteousness exist? Ram you think and tell.
One should not depend on God for everything.
Whoever is weak and incapable they only pray the God and approach God with their prayers. Look Ram, you are quite capable of handling the things with rough hand.
You’ve learnt so many things from Vasishta Maharshi and Viswamaitra maharshi.
Dear Ram, you’ve to Rule Ayodhyanagar as a King.
Father Dasarath and Kaikeyi are deceiving you and wanted to crown Bharath as King of Ayodhya.
Kaiakeyi has a staunch desire to become Ayodhyanagar’s Rajmaatha.
Everything is being observed by Ayodhyanagar people.
Ram, you’ve to Rule Ayodhyanagar selflessly and in your own way.
I will be supporting you in this aspect to you,Ram, Lakshman said.
Please hear me Ram.
Knowbody can stop your becoming a King.
You’ll be crowned as King of Ayodhya, Lakshman said to Ram.
Whoever sends you to forest with ulterior political motives, they only will lead forest life.
Look Ram, we have to use astra-sastra’s in need of our bad times.
Astra-sastras are not the decorated pieces to show put up.
For keeping up the Righteousness, we have to kill the enemies brutally and mercilessly.
Hear me Ram – we should not be cool and calm in the name of Righteousness, and Peace.
We’ve to give a lesson to people who deceive us.
It’s our fundamental and basic principle to act tough manner in need of bad time and when time does not favor us.
Look Lakshman, Ram said – I’ll first, abide by the word given to my father King Dasarath.
I’ll have to keep up my word given to Kaikeyi too, Ram said.
Mother and father is God’s to me in my opinion.
I am principled, disciplined and follow righteousness, said Ram.
So, Lakshman, be calm and cool.
Don’t be angry on our own family members.
Look Lakshman, if you’ve respect towards Ram, please maintain coolness and be calm.
Whatever things are happening, just watch them silently.
Previous Chapter : Part 23 Sri Ramayana (Ayodhya Kaanda)
Ram:
Look Lakshman; please make arrangements for me to leave to forest.
I have decided this stubbornly.
Lakshman:
Brother Ram, what is this? Where is the need for urgency.
Why you’re in a hurried way?
Ram:
Look Lakshman, please follow my words.
Lakshman:
Ram, I am of my opinion that Kaikeyi has mingled with Dasarath and trapped your father.
Both are deceiving you Ram.
Father Dasarath is not ruling the Ayodhya Kingdom properly.
There is no truthfulness.
There is no Righteousness.
There is no proper administration.
Un-righteousness, un-truthfulness is ruling Ayodhya.
Look Ram, you’re the strong person.
You’ve the capacity to tackle all the issues.
You are a confident man and daring person.
You’re fit to Rule the Ayodhy Kingdom.
You’re also the eldest son to our father.
If you’re nervous and express your weakness, then the people of Ayodhyanagar have to confront all the impediments.
Ram:
See Lakshman –Please stop talking more with me.
I’ve taken one decision.
I’ll fulfill that decision.
I’ll go to forest and live there for 14 years.
This was the word given to Father and Kaikeyi mother.
Let hell come on my way, I’ll go to forest as promised
I’ll make my father and kaikeyi happy.
I’ll crown Bharath as a King.
I’ll support Bharath’s ruling Ayodhya Kingdom.
This was the word and commitment given by me to my father.
So, look Lakshman, you please lower-down your angriness.
Please view the happening things from now onwards.
Lakshman:
Brother Ram, please inform all these to mother Kousalya Devi.
Please explain her all these and take her blessing.
Next Chapter : Part 25 Sri Ramayana (Ayodhya Kaanda)
Ram:
Yes, Lakshman, I’ll take all the blessing from mother Kousalya.
I’ll go to Kousalya’s mandir and meet her.
I’ll explain her all the details clearly.
Lakshman:
Ram, I’ll follow you to Kousalya’s mandir.
Ram:
No Lakshman,
I’ll go along and inform all the things.
Lakshman:
Then okay brother Ram.
(In the evening time, Kousalya Devi herself came to Ram’s place)
Kousalya:
Dear Ram, I’ve learnt and came to know all the matters.
You should not go and lead the life in forest for 14 years.
My inner heart is burning.
Even I am not worried and not bothered, if you do not become King of Ayodhya.
Even if you are not crowned as King also, for which I will be happy for that.
But, you should not go to the Forest.
Ram:
Look mother, I’ll respect to you and to father.
I’ll not be against and different to father’s inner feelings.
I’ll fulfill father Dasarath’s ambitions.
Don’t bother yourself mother.
Kousalya:
See dear son Ram,
You’re only the son to me.
I had brought you up to this stage with much affection.
I had agreed you to impart good education.
I had agreed you even to send along with BrhmarshiVishwamitra.
I had agreed you to get married to Sita.
I had accepted in almost all the subjects pertaining to your growth.
I won’t accept your leaving for forest for 14 years.
My blood is boiling.
My heart is burning.
Your father Dasarath got spoiled himself with the actions of Kaikeyi.
Your father had not consulted me and how he can commit on important issues to Kaikeyi?
I am also your father’s first wife.
Why your father neglected me and lowered by feelings?
The value given to Kaika by your father was a selfish one.
Your father Dasarath had to see the entire three wives’ equally, that he did not do.
Dasarath had shown much affection on Kaikeyi.
He had shown less affection on me.
What is this?
What is that nonsense by Dasarath doing?
I don’t accept that.
Your father’s thinking way is in a different way.
I won’t accept your going to the forest.
I will speak to your father Dasarath.
Your father can’t always be in Kaika’sRajmandir.
I will also get time.
I will tell him at that time.
Ram:
Mother, you’re speaking irrelevant things due to your angriness on this subject.
Please be cool.
I myself had to settle all these things.
This Ram will not be in trouble.
I’ll successfully come back from the forest after 14 years completion.
Kousalya:
Look Ram, you’re married to Sita.
You’ve to lead a good family life.
How can I tell to Sita’s mother and father?
What face I have to show them.
Our prestige will be in Ganga River with this.
You people are newly married couple.
Your father has to look-after you people well and in a cordial way.
Instead of that your father is sending you to the forest based on a foolish commitment.
Your father had no brain.
His mind had gone somewhere.
Your father is in illusion in Kaika’s actions.
Ram:
Look mother, I had given a deep thought to all the issues.
I can’t be blamed in the history for my non-fulfilling my father’s desire and aspirations.
People think that I had gone back on my words.
We belong to Surya VamsaIkshwaku Raja’s hereditary.
I will convince Sita.
Please be patient for these 14 years my staying in the forest.
Kousalya:
Ram, what is that?
You are deaf-hearing my words.
You’re behaving in a foolish way.
You’ve gained more knowledge.
Please give a thought again deeply, on all these issues.
Ram:
Look mother, I had told all these things to Sita.
Please give me leave.
(All will get disperse)
