Part 23 Sri Ramayana (Ayodhya Kaanda)
(Ayodhya Kaanda)
SCENE 7
Sri Ram has an ingenious vision. Ram has respeccts towards Kaikeyi. Ram convinces Lakshman.
Ram says – I’ve more respects towards Kaikeyi.
Ram tells to Lakshman – See Lakshman, you showed much interest in me on coronation as King of Ayodhya. Now the things have changed. I’m not going to be crowned as a King. Now, I would appeal and say to you that you show me the same type of spirit when I leave for forest for 14 years.
Whatever Kaikeyi spoke to me are all harmless to me.
I also knew well that whatever Kaikeyi had her two commitments were not originally generated from her mind.
I knew well somebody instigated like that.
Moreover, Kaikeyi has born in a respectable Raj Vamsa family.
Kaikeyi has all good habits.
She may be having various reasons for this.
There is some forceful power on these 14 years Aranyavasa. (My probable forest life).
Before the power o God, we are all nothing.
Dear Lakshman, please watch, wait and see what the things are happening.
Ram;
Dear Lakshman, I have been observing all the things.
Lakshman:
Dear brother Ram, I’ve lot of angry on Kaikeyi.
My heart is weeping.
Kaika’s close associate Mandhara also instigated Kaika on many internal family affairs.
At appropriate time, I will give a good lesson to Mandhara.
(King Dasarath has come to Ram’s place at this time)
Ram:
Dear father, my Pranams (Namaskar).
My father did not ask me anything so far.
Ram has wished with folded hands to Kaika, as she was also available at Dasarath’s place.
Mandhara also was standing on one side near to a door and was listening the discussions.
Kaika:
Ram please listen me now.
I had asked your father Dasarath two small commitments.
I had saved your father during a war with demons.
For that reason your father gave me two commitments.
Those two commitments, I had asked him to fulfill.
What’s the wrong in it?
Ram:
Dear Kaikeyi mother, I’ve not finding you any fault with you.
Kaika:
Onething I asked was Bharath to be crowned as King of Ayodhya.
Second is, Ram to go to forest and stay there for 14 years.
Your fataher, Dasarath had agreed to this.
(Mandhara was listening to these words and was in happy moods and laughing)
Lakshman:
He got very much angry on Kaikeyi.
Look Kaikeyi, your aspirations are not proper and good.
It will harm Ram.
Ram will land in many difficulties.
I knew well that these two commitments you’ve not asked from your heart.
I knew well that Mandhara’s hand in this issue.

Ram:
Dear brother Lakshman,
Please be cool.
Please calm down.
You should not have any doubts on anybody.
This is not the time to dig all unwanted matters.
Lakshman:
Okay brother, I will keep quite.
At appropriate time I’ll teach them a lesson.
I’ll treat them in my own way.
Ram:
Look mother, I’ll agree to your desired commitments.
I’ll give value to father Dasarath’s words.
Do not be worried.
I’ve got respects towards my father’s word.
I will abide my father’s word.

Lakshman:
Dear brother Ram, please think on aspects and speak.
Ram:
Dear Lakshman look,
You should be happy what I do.
Lakshman:
Okay brother.
I’ll obey your order.
Ram:
There is a strong cause in my going to forest for 14 years.
Kaika:
Look Ram, your father is not taking any food.
He is not well. He is suffering with tension.
If you leave for forest soon, then the things would set right.
Lakshman:
What Kaikeyi ji, what you’re speaking?
Ram:
Look Lakshman, please be cool.
Lakshman:
Okay brother, I will not speak.
I am getting angry; still I am cooling down myself
Ram:
Okay. I will take leave from you all.
