Independence delayed due to betrayal
If Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi had not been betrayed even outside her home in the first war of independence, we believe that India would have got independence around 1860 itself. Economic independence would have been achieved gradually. As was the view of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. If such kings in their lust for power and pleasure and greedy wolves, jealous for a few bucks and in the fire of revenge, had not betrayed, we would not have seen the sharp intellect, bravery and war skills of the moved Rani of Jhansi.
The Rani had amazing leadership abilities, who united the kings of the whole of India and provided them leadership against the British. Still, a special example was set in the pages of world history.
The Hujra army, which was not used, was sent to the Gwalior war. The British Prime Minister’s Tughlaqi order came to the Governor General of India that either live in Jhansi or pack your bags and be ready. This was said because the “Doctrine of lapse” Law and Power was being flouted and Jhansi’s Rani Lakshmibai’s open challenge that “I will not give away my Jhansi!” was seen flying.
Its negative message was affecting the entire imperialism of the world. In the Rani’s last battle of Gwalior on 18 June 1858, the English commander Hughrose was astonished to see the Rani’s bravery and war skills. The Rani was martyred on this day. Millions of salutes to such a brave lady!
