Lucy Victoria David is a South African of Indian descent. She is an Ordained Minister in the Full Gospel Church. She completed her studies at the Durban University Of Technology, majoring in Commerce and Business Economics. After marriage she completed theological studies at both the Bethesda Bible College and Hebron Theological Seminary. She is in full time ministry to date and is the Associate Minister of Salem Full Gospel Church nestled in the heart of the Newlands West area, in Kwa Zulu Natal. Lucy is a Commissioner of Oaths and Marriage Officer. She is an international speaker, and the founder of women’s camps since 1981. She has founded Springs Of Healing in 2012, a ministry dedicated to the bereaved and grieving, following the demise of her 2 sons, David Junior and Jeremiah Denver. She wears many hats. She is a talented singer, writer, poet, actress, teacher, playwright, radio speaker, motivational speaker, Head of Durban Westville Prison correspondence, founder of Salem Friends International group chat on the whatsapp social media platform, founder of the Girls Guild that helps raise young girls to be virtuous women to name a few. She presently holds the status of Overseer of women’s ministry in the Durban Central Region on both local and national levels. Her slogan “Empowering Women For Kingdom Excellence”, holds true to this day. She has worked with the Hospital Christian Fellowship, praying and encouraging both medics and patients at various hospitals in the Durban area. She was allocated a special time for this by the hospital authorities. She has to date published a book “God Encounters”, and has won many certificates of achievements by 2 publishing houses in India viz. Abhyuday The Rising International Magazine with her article “Rewards Of Hard Work” and her poem “Old I Am Not”. She was also featured in Rajasthan’s Daily Newspaper as a foreign writer. Lucy has been acknowledged by publishing house Nazmehayat – Prayagraj for her articles viz. “Positivity In Negativity”, “Together We Will Win”, “Heart Is A Child – It Is Childish”, “Are People In This Generation Less Or More Sensitive Than People From The Past Generation”. She was awarded certificates of achievement for all her work. Lucy continues to be a beacon of hope and encouragement to all those in need.

Together with the members of her church, Lucy has helped with many feeding schemes in areas of much poverty in and around the Newlands West area.
